Repacking gear and developing our plan

Runningbird ready for dinner and a glass of wine before getting back to the trail.
Today was another Zero Day for Runningbird. But that doesn't mean we didn't do anything. Make coffee, egg sandwiches, walk Beau. I showered and drove back to REI and then found the Costco for a few things and was back my noon. We reviewed out meet-up spots for the next leg as water could be scarce along that section. I also found a few different spots for Beau and I to camp. Runningbird finished her backpack and we spent some more time in the jacuzzi. The wind storm that was supposed to come yesterday got rescheduled for this evening but I get the idea that the weather forecasters are just as messed up as the group we have at home. We'll see.

We had planned to go out to dinner and Peggy read about a spot in the University District that had authentic Southwest cuisine with good ratings. They also had a patio so Beau could hangout with us. The drive was a bit sketchy when we transited through a bad part of town but nothing we don't see in Seattle. El Patio De Albuquerque was small, had a nice, intimate little patio, the food was excellent, hot. There was even a bit of live entertainment and Beau kept wagging his tail over the performer's guitar while he was trying to play. He didn't complain and I left him a good tip.

We didn't get much time to explore around although it was a restful stay. Runningbird is ready to get back on the trail and I'm ready to get away from the big city and freeway noise.
